For the past two months, I’ve been experimenting with both ChatGPT and Midjourney to better familiarize myself with how they work. I’ve learned a lot about NLP (Natural Language Processing) using both platforms. What has surprised me the most is how both applications were able to understand my poorly worded queries and still provide competent and useful results.

I realize that there are potential ethical and moral ramifications with any new technology, and A.I. is no exception. In my opinion, most of these stem from the image/design side when A.I. is being used to combine the work of human artists that may have taken hours or even years to create artwork. A.I. can be requested to create new works based on that artist’s style in minutes. In my case, I tried to avoid those scenarios. I limited my requests to public domain source material.
